This calculator estimates the ounces of milk required per 24 hour period, based upon the range of 2.0, 2.25 and 2.5 times your infants body weight in pounds and ounces.
You may also enter the number of feedings you expect to make over the course of a 24 hour period. The calculator will not only show you a range of milk required to feed an infant of a specific body weight but it will also give you an estimate of the amount necessary per feeding for your supplementer. I recommend that you add a bit more than this just to make sure that your child is able to get all that he or she requires. Eventually, you'll be able to judge these amounts more accurately.
If you input the amount of formula you used over a 24 hour period, it will estimate the aproximate amount of breastmilk you are producing based upon average milk requirements.
